There is no Elizabeth Maynard of suitable age, married to John, on the 1841 census. However, there is a John - with Grace - in 1841 and 1851. This is a different John as his marriage to Grace Ford was in 1835

The following demonstrates that Elizabeth Maynard who died in 1839 wasn't Elizabeth nee Blackmore

The information on the Death Certificate wasn't conclusive one way or the other.
Died Twenty sixth of June 1839 at Burrington
Betty Maynard, Female, 33 years, Husband a Farmer.
Registered by Elen Phillips, present at the death, Chittlehampton, on Thirtieth of June 1839.
- There is an Ellen Philips in Chittlehampton in 1841 and 1851. States she was born there. No known connection and Chittlehampton is quite a way from Burrington.
- Age is a bit high (Elizabeth Blackmore was baptised in 1810 and so it was assumed she would be 29 in 1839)
- note that the certificate doesn't name the husband
- This is Elizabeth nee Huxtable who married William Maynard (see below)

Betty Maynard, Lower Hacknell Cottage, July 1, aged 33 - minister was J Buckingham

The birth of William Maynard in 1837 gave his parents as William Maynard and Elizabeth nee Huxtable. Hence there were two people in Burrington who were called Elizabeth Maynard! Needed to search further to attempt to unravel this problem.

Found the grave in Burrington churchyard. There are two names : Betty (died 26 Jun 1839 as above) and husband William who died in Feb 1841.

Hence this death was of Betty Maynard, nee Huxtable, for whom I have the birth certificate of their son, William, who was born in 1837.
