Ann Baker married Frederick Best c 1809, this marriage produced James
Adamson Best. Frederick died c. January 1812. Ann then married
Frederick's brother Charles in 1816. Since it was illegal for a widow
to marry her brother in law at that time there were rum goings on here
me thinks!!!!!!!!! (especially as indications are that after Ann died in
1825 Charles promptly packed his bags and left his children to be looked
after by the parish).
